summer crochet
there are two times a year when i get to squeeze in a little bit of work that's just for ME, not for a class i'm teaching or to sell... one is around january after the holiday rush, and the other is the month or two after renegade in june. so i have been working on the sweet pattern from crochet me; it looked like a great crochet sweater formula a la elizabeth zimmermann, that one can adapt to any yarn, any size, and any stitch pattern. it works up seamlessly from the top down, and i like how it's coming along so far, but the way it gets joined at the center front point of the V-neck kind of threw off my filet pattern (if you look closely you'll see it's not symmetrical!) and next time i make it i will use the revised lower V-neck which i found after i started...
and i also FINALLY made new earbud covers for my iPod! i had lost one of the foam ones ages ago and really didn't want to shell out for a new pair, so i got the idea that i could crochet them myself, and voila!

Cute face! What a great idea! If you write up the pattern, people would go nuts for it! Even though it's probably super easy for you, right??
i love the color of the crochet top! and the earbuds are cute!
i have a really hard time making things symmetrical-it's just not my strong suit.
i love this sweater, cal!
