it's official...
...i am now a resident of upstate New York. it is yet to be determined where i will actually settle and grow roots, but on january 3rd i rode a one-way bus up to my temporary home in Kerhonkson. looking out the window upon the snow-covered landscape, a combination of peace and exhilaration washed over me.

woohoo!! so exciting cal!
i hope i can come visit sometime....
Good luck in Upstate NY. I am north of Syracuse NY - grew up in RI, lived in Secaucus, NJ, and then Pittsburgh. I moved here in 1992 and it captured my heart. Not necessarily in the winter when things are cold and grey, but definately in the other months. I'm lucky in that I work from home and my company is in NYC, so I do get to the city just enough and then get to come back to the soliturde of the Upstate NY area. Good luck.
